I love looking back on old sketches from when I began working with one of my top clients!
In January, my dude, JG approached me about possibly doing some design work for Lucra Real Estate. At first, I was kind of nervous because I had never worked with a commercial realty company before, but in true “Hanna Braud” fashion, I said yes and jumped at the opportunity to try something new!
Since the beginning of the year, we have worked on about 10+ development projects together. I have either either created some sort of marketing collateral for the building, or designed the billboard you might see in front of a construction zone showcasing information about the project.
In the field of graphic design, the ultimate goal is to create artwork that will attract your ideal client, but before working with Lucra, I had never had to think about this in terms of potential tenants. JG has done a tremendous job to teach me to have a “realtor’s mindset”, and it’s been a really unique journey discovering what types of design attracts different sorts of crowds. Like, if we are working to advertise a new living facility, we might use fun, off beat colors to attract young adults. But, if we are advertising to potential businesses, we might stick with a more traditional design style and color scheme.
I have really fallen in love with the artwork that I have had the opportunity to create while working with Lucra, and I have become pretty interested in finding new ways to showcase information in large format that is both eye catching, modern and informative. And hey, it’s pretty badass driving around and seeing some of these projects come to life! Be sure to follow Lucra’s instagram page to see how their developments are transforming the downtown waco scene!
And remember to call me when you need a big ass billboard design, ya heard?
